Aleppo Traditional Soap (190gram)With 50% Olive Oil and 40% Laurel Berry Oil. For face and Body.
Le Sultan D`Alep started up over 4,000 years ago and transfers knowledge of production from generation to generation. When the war started in 2011, with subsequent crime and unrest, the 30 employees continued to produce soap in the heart of Aleppo, but in December 2014 it became too dangerous to live there. In doing so, they picked the premises down stone by stone and rebuilt everything in Lattakie, a large port city, 300km west of Aleppo. Housing was provided to the workers and their families, who everyone who moved with, consider it safe to continue production there. They will probably stay there for a long time as it will take many years to build up Aleppo.
The olive oil comes from local farmers and the laurel oil is obtained from Turkey. The soap mixture is boiled together in large vessels, and then sprayed over the large hall floors. The soap is cut by having special shoes with knife shapes underneath which they tread through the soap decks. Then the workers go and stamp each soap with the factory seal. Finally, the soap must be left to dry.
