Pikpa camp is an independent open refugee camp in Lesvos, Greece. It is a community-based space, built on the principles of solidarity, empowerment and active participation. Providing humanitarian support to refugees. They offer medical, psychological and legal support, food, clothes and hygiene kits. They also run activities for children, language classes, social support and administration of the asylum process.

The workshop Safe Passage Bags is an integration and education project where bags are created by refugees. The bags are made of lifejackets found on the shorelines in Lesvos, used by refugees that have crossed the sea. All income of sales goes directly back to the refugee camp.
Due to the huge amount of plastic littering the beautiful beaches of the island, they felt the need to contribute to the effort to clean the beaches and find a way to recycle. Rather than leaving the used lifejackets buried in a land field, they wanted to give them a new meaning. The bag workshop gives people a chance to gain their dignity back. They can make a living and support themselves by creating beautiful bags out of discarded objects.

The Traveller Bag is designed for daily use as well as light travelling.
